Disability

Is it possible to get disability for migraines, I have wondered this for a long time, people I’ve talked to who dont have migraines says its really hard, since i’ve had them for over 20 yrs, and cant hold down a job, didn’t know if this was possible. Like I said before, I dont know how people work with migraines, I never have been able to. if anybody know how to go aboout this process, please let me know, because I have no clue, Thank you for listening.

  1. Yes. I am on SSDI and Tammy, one of the other moderators, is also.

  2. Hey to all of you who have applied for disability I have a ? When you have had to appeal and have gotten a letter from your doc saying that the condition has lasted for more than a year already (mine is 18 on record) and that it is untreatable, etc, how long has it taken to get a new decision? I am in that process now, I am waiting on the letter from my doc which I should have Tuesday and I have several letters from friends and x-
coworkers and bosses about the migraines, I think I will also get one from a place where I applied to work and they wouldn’t hire me because of the migraines…..do any of you think these things will help? I sure hope so, we are almost ruined financially and it is killing me, but I can not hold down a regular job and have checked into working at home from my computer and so far have not been able to find anything that will work or they are scams or crap….if anyone knows of something like that that is legitimate PLEASE let me know!
